Easter Lilies

I have cared for these lilies since Easter Sunday. I researched how to care for them and I think I am doing a good job so far.

Caring For them

• I water them weekly to keep the soil moist
• I remove the yellow anthers as soon as the flower blooms: i read it will extend the life of my plant (I plan to research this more), and to prevent yellow stains from pollen
• I cut down the first two blooms  an inch from the base of  next set of leaves when then begin to turn brown as they withered. (pruning)

I love these flowers! I get so excited watching them bloom. Monday I opened the blinds to allow the sunlight in and an hour later I return home from class the bud was almost open revealing a beautiful white lily. I am really amazed by them. I hope to get an aloe vera plant next!
