A Very Controversial Topic!!!

I want to start by saying Knowledge is important! Knowledge is powerful! You should never take someone's word and run with it. Study! Pray and ask God for wisdom about all things.

Sometimes i feel like the only christian who think about these things.I'm curious about how many of us think about how what we eat can change the world.
1.Do we know?
2.Do we care?
3.Do we believe it is true?
4. If we know what's holding us back?

It is truly a personal decision that can change so much. I think about it often. I started off thinking about just my health and then  my thoughts expanded to other reasons as I learned more. What are your thoughts on being plant based/vegan. I especially would like to hear from my fellow Christians.  Please watch the video below before you answer.

Mark7:15Nothing outside a person can defile them by going into them. Rather, it is what comes out of a person that defiles them

  1. Kewl vid..gives u sumthin to think about but I would like to address something's myself. I believe that animals that are being used for son sumptuous can be treated better. But what about the humans that are treating animals better than humans? Putting a pet before a human being isn't right. The amount of money that is invested in pets and the upkeep of them, I am sure that could go towards many human beings being fed. There are so many determining factors for hunger ie war and violence and hatred and selfishness against ourselves (humans). What about those who may think it's alright to blend babies because it's their body and the baby at that stage isn't considered a life yet. Is that right? Is an animal's life worth more than a human being!?! No! If we lived more instead of hating and lending a helping hand to our neighbor then hunger wouldn't occur. The people in the New Testament worked together and helped one another. Listen, we should be crying over human lives that are being murdered unjustly every second.

  2. If someone wants to abstain from meat and all their by products then I don't have a problem. It's their choice but we need to wake up America and realize there are some serious issues that we have within the human race with one another. Alright, I'm done.

  3. Thanks Chels for sharing your thoughts! I agree with you on the important of loving each other. God commands us to love each other. I also feel that it is wrong to care about animal rights but not about the many babies that are aborted. It makes me sad to even think about it. That's a subject we can get deep into on another blog post. I do feel that the factory farming industry can do way better but i do not think it is sinful to consume meat, dairy or whatever you choose. The bible gives us the freedom to choose.

Gen. 1:29 And God said, “Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit. You shall have them for food.

Gen. 9:3Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you. And as I gave you the green plants, I give you everything.

Romans 14:1-23As for the one who is weak in faith, welcome him, but not to quarrel over opinions. One person believes he may eat anything, while the weak person eats only vegetables. Let not the one who eats despise the one who abstains, and let not the one who abstains pass judgment on the one who eats, for God has welcomed him. Who are you to pass judgment on the servant of another? It is before his own master that he stands or falls. And he will be upheld, for the Lord is able to make him stand. One person esteems one day as better than another, while another esteems all days alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind. ...

    2. Yep. We are all about choices. As mentioned before, if someone wants to be vegan or vegetarian, kudos to them. Nothing wrong with that. I think it's all about moderation at the end of the day. Maybe if we all become began, the prices of those organic foods would decrease...lol They are expensive or can be. A healthier approach is more expensive. Such a shame! Back in the day when agriculture was more prominent, foods were healthier. No pesticides to worry about and all that junk. The animals weren't being bulked up with hormones like they are now. Sighh..the simple life...
